Seeds of Hope News Apr 07report by Anna RayOur first instalment will be going towards our cause’s general budget, with a priority on food for the children. At the moment, the overall budget is approximately £275 a month for food, electricity, water, internet, and teachers’ salaries. The largest outgoing being food at £120 a month…greedy little monsters! They have budgeted about £320 for ‘school items’ this year. I think it’s important to stress that this is the hardest newsletter to write…there really isn’t very much information to give, but this will definitely improve as our relationship develops! Nevertheless, there are many projects which we could (and hopefully will) go on to support. One particular recent project was a trip for the children to a football stadium. Below is a report written by one of the co-ordinators detailing the day:"Practice sports it’s good for the live `s kids so we took him to the stadium to encourage them in the practice of any sport. We have many kids who likes playing soccer and for many of them it was their first time that they went to the stadium so they were very excited, also two of our kids were playing in a team for which they needed a special shoes, so, we bought a couple of those shoes for them." The volunteers and the kids were screaming, they made claps to encourage the kids playing soccer, it was really exciting watching them, then we went to buy some ice cream and say congratulations to our kids, because they played very well and their team won.The money from 'One Percent Scheme' will go towards the food of the kids, This is the cost approximate for each month. I think you `ll send us more less 500 Pounds for three months, the change approximate in soles it`s 3000 soles, so each month will spend 934 soles just for food. ![]() We will do another activities with a part of the money from 'One Percent Scheme' it will depend of the activity we do, so we will be in touch each other to agree about it, so while all the money from One percent Schem `ll go towards the food which for it`s important because the kids need to eat to study very well.
