Headway East London are also following the trend and migrating from their current premises in Shoreditch, heading up the road towards the desirable location of OPS HQ in Dalston. They are due to move into their new premises at Timber Wharf, just by the canal off Kingsland Road, in early ’08. In addition to the invaluable work they do at the centre, empowering people with brain injuries to regain confidence and independence, field trips are an essential part of this process, providing opportunities to put theses skills into practice in the everyday world as well as simply an enjoyable day out that perhaps wouldn’t otherwise be possible.

Recent visits include the Imperial War Museum; ISG, Hackney City Farm, Richmix Cinema, the London Symphony Orchestra, Cabaret Mechanical Theatre, the Tower of London, Women’s tea afternoon, a curry lunch at Brick Lane and bowling.

Unfortunately, several recent changes in staff at the center has meant that we don’t have any specific reports as yet this quarter although something should be coming soon and we’ll post it and let you now when it does.
