About Us

The One Percent Scheme was set up in 2004 by a group of friends at Nottingham University. After having the same old drunken 'putting the world to rights' chats one too many times, we decided that we'd like to have a go at doing our bit and try to put something new and interesting together. 5 years down the line and we are now 40ish members and raise around £8000/year for good causes.

Getting involved in the One Percent Scheme is a great opportunity for me, as it's a chance to get involved with the 'other side' and see my work from a different perspective. I'm excited by the aims of OPS and the enthusiasm of everyone involved, and feel privileged to help out!"
