About Us
The One Percent Scheme was set up in 2004 by a group of friends at Nottingham University. After having the same old drunken 'putting the world to rights' chats one too many times, we decided that we'd like to have a go at doing our bit and try to put something new and interesting together. 5 years down the line and we are now 40ish members and raise around £8000/year for good causes.

 Marcus Fairhurst
Marcus specialises in tidying his room and has the most orderly clothes drawer in East London. Marcus works in the city recruiting for hedge funds.
 James Etchells
"From St.Bees in Cumbria, favourite colour Tangerine, obviously, live in Leiden in the land of clog and work hard at wasting European taxpayers money by creating space debris. Enjoy building my kayak and brewing ale - ye div'n ge moo'r rock'n'roll than that marra." James coordinates things with the Coalition to Stop The Use of Child Soldiers.
 Anna Ray
Anna is in charge of coordinating things with Seeds of Hope, one of our new charities for 2007. She since taken up the role of accountant-in-chief as well and is in charge of OPS finances. Rather her than me...

Matthew decided at 30 to have an entirely non-profit career. He built the software for this website and currently works in the Red Cross in Geneva as a web tecchie.

Our liason for Headway. Metal drummer/flower lover and all round general care-bear, David volunteers at Headway as often as he can doing music therapy and helping tend to the garden.
