Election 2006
January 2006 saw a very close election with VGlob, White Cross Mission and Fareshare elected - see causes we support for more details. Inevitably, several causes were nominated but were unsuccessful. These are listed below:

Headway (East London) A local charity providing a better quality of life to those affected by brain injury.

PEPAIDS A highly original and community led anti-AIDS initiative in Zambia. OPS supported PEPAIDS from 2004-5.

Porters Progress A Nepalese NGO improving the standard of living for trekking porters and their families.

Rwandan Development Trust A local development organisation in Rwanda, helping those affected by the genocide rebuild their lives. OPS has been supporting RDT since 2004-5.

Surfers Against Sewage A Cornish charity fighting to keep our coasts clean.
