OPS looks at renovating Nyitoe-Zupke's health centre

V-Glob has been overwhelmed by the support of the One Percent Scheme and has been proudly informing others of this success – both on the website and in person – especially in the village of Nyitoe Zukpé, where positive news has been long coming and greatly needed. The support is invaluable for the project, enabling us to get the ball rolling.

While the reconstruction work on the village hospital is yet to start, more research has been getting underway in preparation. The project is based on the idea that while repairing the hospital building is a huge leap towards improving the level of health in the village, V-Glob feels that this is pointless without improving basic infrastructure and education at the same time. Consequently, research has been conducted this month with the help of engineers in the UK into the most sustainable and acceptable system of sanitation for the village; the research involved a survey where more than one hundred villagers participated; the aim is to ensure that any development is not imposed but carried out in tandem with the village. The response has been overwhelming and we are now waiting for the final report from our engineers before hopefully moving towards more tangible results!
